Engineer in Business Computing
General Objectives
This program is designed to train highly skilled engineers in the design, development, and deployment of intelligent big data analytics solutions. It encompasses the entire data value chain—from collection and processing to visualization and advanced analytics—including machine learning and deployment in distributed and cloud-based environments. The program pays particular attention to the optimization, performance, security, and ethical issues associated with artificial intelligence systems.
Specific Objectives
Equip students with the necessary skills and techniques to:
- Design, manage, and optimize relational and NoSQL databases.
- Develop and deploy machine learning and deep learning models tailored to real-world use cases.
- Integrate generative AI solutions and time series analysis for decision support.
- Collect, process, and transform large-scale data using specialized tools and languages (Python, SQL, Spark, etc.).
- Set up data pipelines (ETL) for analysis, visualization, and reporting purposes.
- Leverage cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) for training, deployment, and monitoring of AI models.
- Implement MLOps workflows to ensure reproducibility, scalability, and maintenance of AI solutions in production.
- Ensure the security, confidentiality, and ethical use of data-handling systems.
- Develop skills in digital management, organization, and strategy.
- Design and develop robust software applications using advanced programming paradigms.
- Apply software engineering principles and agile methodologies to lead collaborative IT projects.
